Success Stories

A student came to us in 2023 who had a year out of school due to the impacts of Covid and found it difficult to re-engage in education.

They had a particular talent in drawing, and we encouraged them to work towards doing a GCSE in Art and Design.

This was taken on with enthusiasm, and they developed an interest in art, not just drawing, but history and research.

The following two years were a journey of discovery, which not only established an interest in art, but also filled the student with the confidence to get qualifications in English and Math’s to enable them to apply for a place in college.

Having successfully gaining the qualifications required they have left Clovelly House and have begun studying art and design full-time, which will hopefully lead to a fulfilling career in their chosen area.
