Digital Safety & E-Safety

For all our students at Clovelly House School, we take our digital and e-safety with the upmost importance. Throughout our daily lives, technology plays a crucial part to our students learning and within wider society. Our students can use our technology to both learn and create, all our systems are secure and monitored regularly to ensure that all our students stay safe!

Although there are many benefits to the use of technology, we also recognise that this comes with an increasing risk to our young learners, especially for those who may be more vulnerable or susceptible to those risks. As most of our students have an autism diagnosis, this increases the risk of using the internet and various social platforms due to their nature of being overly trusting of others.

Online Safety

Technology plays an important part in children's lives and learning. We are committed to helping pupils use technology safely and responsibly.

We teach pupils about:

  • Safe internet use
  • Social media safety
  • Cyberbullying
  • Online relationships
  • Privacy and personal information
  • Gaming safety
  • Online exploitation
  • Artificial intelligence and online risks

The school has appropriate filtering and monitoring systems in place and provides regular online safety education for pupils and families.
