Small School, Big Hearts & Bright Futures
For all our students at Clovelly House School, we take our digital and e-safety with the upmost importance. Throughout our daily lives, technology plays a crucial part to our students learning and within wider society. Our students can use our technology to both learn and create, all our systems are secure and monitored regularly to ensure that all our students stay safe!
Although there are many benefits to the use of technology, we also recognise that this comes with an increasing risk to our young learners, especially for those who may be more vulnerable or susceptible to those risks. As most of our students have an autism diagnosis, this increases the risk of using the internet and various social platforms due to their nature of being overly trusting of others.
At Clovelly House School, our main aim is to ensure the overall safety for our students while online both at school and at in the outside world. We work extensively to ensure all our systems are up-to-date and fully protected whilst ensuring our own internal monitoring of any technology too. We also have a no phone policy within school to ensure that social media, gaming or any other platforms are not accessed during the school day.
For overall safety for our young learners, we work with parents/carers to ensure our they are safe online and can enjoy the uses of technology without risk.
Please refer to our E-Safety and Technical Security Policy for more information.
